By clicking \u201cNew 1099 \/ 1098\u201d recipient. In the dialog that comes up enter basic Borrower information such as name, address, tax id and so on. Make sure to select \u201c<a title=\"form 1098 software\" href=\"http:\/\/www.realtaxtools.com\/1098-software.html\">Form 1098<\/a>\u201d under the list of \u201cTypes of 1099 Forms Received\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>4 ) Click the \u201c1099 and 1098 Forms\u201d icon from the left toolbar inside W2 Mate.<\/p>\n<p>5 ) Under \u201cForm Type\u201d select \u201cForm 1098\u201d and click OK.<\/p>\n<p>6 ) You should see a screen similar to the one shown below.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"1098 Software\" src=\"https:\/\/www.realtaxtools.com\/new\/skin\/frontend\/rtt\/modern\/images\/Form-1098\/Form-1098-Software.jpg\" alt=\"Form 1098\" \/><\/p>\n<p>7 )\u00a0Now fill out the different 1098 boxes for the borrower (s), such as &#8220;1 Mortgage interest received from payer(s)\/borrower(s)&#8221;, &#8220;2 Points paid on purchase of principal residence&#8221; and &#8220;3 Refund of overpaid interest&#8221;. Make sure to hit save each time you update a form.<\/p>\n<p>8 ) When you are ready to print click the \u201cPrint\u201d button.
