This W2 form 1099 form printing software allows users to print out on plain white paper W2 copies B,C,D, 1, and 2, and for 1099s copies B,C,1,and 2. In order to print out W2 copy A and the W3 summary form you will need to have preprinted forms.
We also have an option that will allow you to print out W2 copy A and the W3 summary form using a laser jet printer. This is Option #1 and it is an additional cost. It is important to note that this option is not available for 1099s. In order to print out 1099 copy A and the 1096 summary form you will need preprinted forms.

When I try to download W2 Mate an error message comes up reading, “Authorization Required This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required”. What should I do?
Please clean your browsing history, delete your cookies, restart your machine then copy and paste the user name and password and you should be fine.

This can mean two things. The first is if you are in a network environment and you did not have permission to install new software. The second is when you installed the program, you pointed the files to another folder then what the installation wizard had set, which is C>Program Files>Real Business> Solution. If you are not in a network environment then you will need to request a restart database email. Once you reset your database folder, you will be able to open the program on your hard drive.
Remember if you didn't buy the network option and try to install the software on a network it will not work.

Yes you can email W2 Forms to employees, but you need to meet a number of conditions: 1. The employee must consent (agree) to receive the W2 as an email. 2. You need to send the W2 Form in a secure format. 3. The electronic W2 Form must meet government regulations for substitute W2 statements to employees. Also, we recommend you contact the Louisiana Department of Revenue to check to see if any other taxes pertain to your employee. If there is you can create new tax, income and deduction categories under the Company tab.
Let me walk you through the process of creating a custom defined tax:
1. Start by going to the Company Setup. You can do that by clicking on the “Company” button on the left side of the application.
2. Now Click on the “Tax Categories” Button.
3. Click on Add to create a new Tax Category.
4. Fill in the different fields. Below are suggested values:
a. Title: School Tax.
b. Abbreviation: School Tax.
c. Calculation: Fill in the way you will calculate this deduction..
e. Press OK to finish.
5. Go to the employees list by clicking the “Employees” button on the left side of the application.
6. Select the employees who have to pay this tax and click Edit.
7. Click Next until you reach the “Taxes” Page, you should see the tax you added as one of the listed taxes. Make sure you check the box next to it. Click Next and then Finish to finalize your changes.
