You can use any preprinted forms so long as they are a two part form.

Step one back up your data.

When you have W2 Mate open go to tools short cut then select backup company and the back up dialog shows. Select the company you would like to backup and browse to the external flash drive where you want your data saved and then click save

Step two restore your data on the new machine by reversing step one.

You do not need a laser jet printer to print using W2 Mate. However, if you are using Option #1 you will need a laser jet printer to print out Copy A and the W3 summary form.

This W2 form 1099 form printing software allows users to create virtually unlimited number of companies. In addition users can add an unlimited amount of employees or contractors and create unlimited W2 Forms, W3 forms, 1099 forms, and 1096 forms.

This means you are using the demo version; please refer to download instructions e-mailed to you after you bought the software to have access to the full W2 forms, 1099 forms printing software.

If you select All Employees in the print menu then you will print all employees top to bottom.  When you select print current employee, it will print the employee on top and void the bottom form.

 There is a networking option available for W2 Mate, W2 Mate Option #2. Additional fees apply.

To create and print a W2:

Select “Forms” from the navigation pane.

Select “W2” from the active selection.

Select the employee you would like to generate a W2 for from the drop box.

Select “Preview” to see a screenshot of the W2 form.

Select “Print” to print the W2 form on regular paper or preformatted paper.

Congratulations you have successfully created a W2!

If users choose to do so Payroll Mate can be used to create the numbers and taxes needed to manually write out a check.

To create a check:

Select "Checks" from the side menu task bar.

Select "New" from the menu.

Enter in the "Check Details”.

Select "OK"Congratulations you have successfully created a check!

You can print the check on check paper or use the info generated to hand write your own check
