How to Clear Data on W2 Forms

W2 Mate® is capable of clearing all data from a W-2 form. Was information improperly entered on the W2 form? Employee, general information, and W2 amounts can easily be cleared from an employee’s W-2 form. Avoid mistakes and make corrections before filing by following the steps below to clear W2 form data.

Step by Step Instructions

Make sure you have the correct Company open inside W2 Mate

1. Click "W2 Forms" in Shortcuts menu

2. Click "Select" under Employee along top of page

3. Select the correct employee you want to work with

4. Click "OK"

5. Confirm the correct employee is showing on the screen

6. Click "Clear" under the W2 section along top of page

7. Click "Yes" on the pop up to clear the form data value from all fields

8. Click "Save" to save the updated form as needed
