Users have the ability to edit the data entered on the 1099-DIV form inside W2 Mate® software. Users can enter data into the program manually or by importing. Regardless of the data input method, users are able to edit data that was incorrectly entered or imported into the program to ensure correct data is reported to the IRS and to the 1099-DIV recipients. Edits to the 1099-DIV form can be done with a few click of your mouse as shown below.
Make sure you have the correct Company open inside W2 Mate
1. Click "1099 & 1098 Forms" from the Shortcuts menu
2. Click "Select" under Form Type
3. Select "Form 1099-DIV"
4. Click "OK"
5. Click "Select" under 1099 Recipient
6. Select the 1099-DIV Recipient from the list
7. Click "OK"
8. Edit the 1099-DIV form data as needed
9. Click "Save" under Form 1099-DIV
10. Click "Yes" to save the updated form information
