W2 Mate® offers multiple ways to import Form 1098 data. The most common importing method is from a CSV file. Simply export 1098 data to an Excel/CSV file then import the information into our 1098 printing and filing software. No need for data entry which saves users time. This tutorial guides you through the 1098 importing process, follow the steps below.
Make sure you have the correct Company open inside W2 Mate
Note: In order to use this feature you must purchase and enable W2 Mate Option #3 to import
1. Click "Import Data" from the top menu
2. Select "Other Forms (CSV-Excel)"
3. Select 1098 Forms
This will open the Import 1098 Forms wizard
4. Click "Browse" to select the correct CSV data file to import
5. Map your fields
6. Click "Import"
7. Click "OK" on the Data import complete message
8. Click "Close"
