How to Import 1099 Data from Payroll Mate

W2 Mate® has the ability to import the data for 1099 Forms from Payroll Mate® software. Did you use Payroll Mate® to run payroll for your vendors and contractors? If plan on using W2 Mate® to generate and print or e-file 1099-MISC forms with W2 Mate® easily export from Payroll Mate® and import the data into W2 Mate®. This eliminates the need for users to manually enter 1099-MISC data that you have inside Payroll Mate®. This tutorial shows the steps to import the 1099-MISC forms from Payroll Mate® Software.

Step by Step Instructions

Note: This is a 2-part process. First you must export/save the file from Payroll Mate, second you will import the data into W2 Mate.

Note: In order to use this feature you must purchase and enable Payroll Mate Option #6 1099 & Vendor Center

Open Payroll Mate:

Make sure you have the correct Company open inside Payroll Mate

1. Click "1099 & Vendor" from shortcuts

2. Click "Export to W2 Mate"

3. Select the location to save the file

4. Name the file

5. Click "Save"

6. Click "OK"

Note: The location for the saved file shows here. You will need this location to import the data into W2 Mate.

Open W2 Mate:

Make sure you have the correct Company open inside W2 Mate

7. Click "Import Data" from the top menu bar

8. Select "From Payroll Mate Software (1099 Data)"

9. Click "Browse" to find the file you create through Payroll Mate

10. Select the correct file to import

11. Click "Import"

12. Click "OK"
