How to Import 1099-A Data

W2 Mate® has a feature that gives users the ability to import recipient and form data for 1099-A Forms. This feature allows users to import the data to the appropriate boxes on the 1099-A forms, Acquisition or Abandonment of Secured Property, eliminating the necessity to manually enter information for each 1099-A recipient. This tutorial shows the steps to import the 1099-A recipients and form data.

Step by Step Instructions

Make sure you have the correct Company open inside W2 Mate

Note: In order to use this feature you must purchase and enable W2 Mate Option #3 to import

1. Click "Import Data" from the top menu

2. Select "Other Forms (CSV-Excel)"

3. Select 1099-A Forms

This will open the Import 1099-A Forms wizard

4. Click "Browse" to select the correct CSV data file to import

5. Map your fields

6. Click "Import"

7. Click "OK" on the Data import complete message

8. Click "Close"
