W2 Mate® gives users the ability to import email addresses. Import email addresses with the employee information or import email addresses separately. Employees’ email addresses will be matched using their social security number. This tutorial will guide you through the steps to import email addresses after employees have already been input in the program.
Note: In order to use this feature you must purchase and enable W2 Mate Option #3 to import
Make sure you have the correct company open in W2 Mate
**W2 Employee
1. Click "Import Data" from the top menu
2. Select "Email Addresses"
3. Select "Employees Email Addresses"
This will open the Import Employee Emails wizard
3. Read the data carefully then Click "Browse" to select the correct CSV file
4. Click "OK"
5. Click "Import"
6. Click "Yes"
7. Click "Close"
**1099/1098 Recipient
1. Click "Import Data" from the top menu
2. Select "Email Addresses"
3. Select "1099/1098 Recipients" Email Addresses
This will open the Import Recipient Emails wizard
3. Read the data carefully then Click "Browse" to select the correct CSV file
4. Click "OK"
5. Click "Import"
6. Click "Yes"
7. Click "Close"
