How to Import Other 1099 Data Using QuickBooks

W2 Mate® includes a built in QuickBooks importing wizard. This guarantees a smooth and efficient 1099 import. W2 Mate® supports many different types of 1099 and 1098 forms and users are able to use the QuickBooks importing wizard for all types of 1099/1098 tax forms supported in W2 Mate®. W2 Mate® does not limit the number of 1099 or 1098 forms that can be generated making this importing element a cost effective and time saving feature. See below how easy it is to import from QuickBooks.

Step by Step Instructions

Make sure you have the correct Company open inside W2 Mate

Note: In order to use this feature you must purchase and enable W2 Mate Option #3 to import

1. Click "Import Data" from the top menu

2. Select "From QuickBooks (W2 and/or 1099 Data)"

This will open the QuickBooks Import wizard

3. Read Message-understand you will need to have QuickBooks open and actively running

4. Click "Next"

5. Click "Connect to QuickBooks"

This will open a QuickBooks dialog asking if you want to authorize W2 Mate to access the company information in QuickBooks

6. Click "Yes"

7. Checkmark to allow this application to access personal data

8. Click "Continue"

9. Click "Done"

10. Click "Next"

11. Click "Next"

12. Select 1099 Data

13. Select "Tax year" from drop down menu

14. Select correct 1099/1098 form from drop down menu

15. Select correct box for monetary amounts from drop-down menu

16. Click "Next"

17. Click "OK"

18. Review data to import

19. Click "Next"

20. Click "Finish"
