Important update: The IRS has retired the FIRE system for federal 1099 e-filing — you now file federal 1099 information returns through the new IRS IRIS (Information Returns Intake System). Our 1099 software supports IRIS and creates the IRIS-formatted CSV upload file for the IRIS portal.
If you are required to file directly with your state using the legacy FIRE format, you can still use our 1099 FIRE software to create that file. And if you already have a file in the FIRE (Publication 1220) format, you can import it into our software and then create the IRIS CSV file for upload to IRIS.
