W2 Mate is a complete W2 and 1099 software solution. Below are the system requirements as of W2 Mate 2011 version.
Intel Pentium 4 or AMD processor running at 1.5GHz or faster. While our 1099 Software will run on slower machines, it will take much longer to import data and create W2 and 1099 electronic filing submissions.
512MB of RAM (1GB or greater is recommended depending on what you are trying to do, for example if you want to import from QuickBooks then you will definitely need more than 512MB of RAM)
Hard disk with 60 MB free space (again this will depend on whether you are importing or entering large amounts of data).
800 by 600 minimum screen resolution (we recommend 1024 X 768 for best experience).
If you are importing data from QuickBooks (QuickBooks Pro, QuickBooks Premier, QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions) you will need 2006 version or above (earlier versions might work, download our demo and test to see if W2 Mate can communicate with your version of QB).
If you are importing 1099s from Peachtree (Peachtree Pro Accounting , Peachtree Complete Accounting, Peachtree , Premium Accounting , Peachtree Premium Accounting Accountant’s Edition , Peachtree Premium Accounting for Manufacturing , Peachtree Premium Accounting for Distribution or Peachtree Quantum) you will need a version that can generate the “1099 Vendor” report, which was introduced in PT 2006.
MAC operating system: W2 Mate is windows-based, but you can use a solution for running Windows applications on your Mac such as Parallels.
