Arizona 1099-NEC E-File Details
- Only TXT files are accepted and must conform to IRS federal Publication 1220 guidelines.
- ADOR requires Payee "B" record for forms 1099-NEC, if taxes were withheld for Arizona.
- The correct record sequence for Arizona 1099-NEC e-file is T - Transmitter Record, A - Payer Record, B - Payee Record, C - Summary of Payee Record, K - Summary of State Totals Record and F - Final Record.
- An employer granted an exemption from filing its withholding return electronically (Arizona Form A1-R or Arizona Form A1-APR), or directed NOT to file electronically by the IRS or by the department, may submit Forms 1099-NEC by paper or by optical media.
- The first two positions of an EIN cannot be: 00, 07, 08, 09, 17, 18, 19, 28, 29, 49, 69, 70, 78, 79, or 89.
- The SSN cannot begin with 000 or 666.
- State tax ID formatting: 12-1234567 [Same as FEIN].
- Before E-Filing with Arizona, you need to enter data inside our software. 1099-NEC records can be typed manually or imported from Excel spreadsheet, QuickBooks, Sage 50, Dynamics GP and other accounting sources.
