Maryland 1099-NEC E-File Details
- The filing due date for 1099 statements/MW508 return is January 31st.
- If the due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday, it must be filed by the next business day.
- File should include record delimiters (CR-Carriage Return followed by LF –Line Feed).
- Each record delimiter must consist of a carriage-return/linefeed (CR/LF) and placed immediately following position 750.
- Do not place a record delimiter before the first record (T) of the file.
- Maryland follows the IRS guidelines for reporting of nonemployee compensation.
- State tax ID formatting: 12345678.
- Before E-Filing with Maryland, you need to enter data inside our software. 1099-NEC records can be typed manually or imported from Excel spreadsheet, QuickBooks, Sage 50, Dynamics GP and other accounting sources.
