Indiana 1099-NEC E-File Details
- January 31 of the current year is the filing deadline for the previous year’s reporting.
- If that date falls on a weekend the filing deadline moves to the following business day.
- Indiana accepts the IRS 1220 format for 1099-NEC.
- Indiana requires the T record, the A record, the B record and the F record.
- The other records may be included but are not required.
- Indiana does not accept test files.
- State tax ID formatting: 0123456789-001 or 0123456789-901 [First digit must be a 0. Last 3 digits need to be 001 through 009].
- Before E-Filing with Indiana, you need to enter data inside our software. 1099-NEC records can be typed manually or imported from Excel spreadsheet, QuickBooks, Sage 50, Dynamics GP and other accounting sources.
